Professional Biography Cerda is co-founder and CEO of Cc:Betty, a small groups collaboration service he incubated as an entrepreneur-in-residence at venture capital firm Venrock. Prior he was founding CEO of Jangl, a social/mobile communications service, and Ooma, a voice over IP product and service company. Prior he held various executive roles in sales, marketing and business development at networking companies such as Trapeze Networks, Redback Networks, Lucent Technologies, and Netopia. Cerda has a B.S. degree in IT from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Company Background Cc:Betty was founded in November 2008 by Michael Cerda and Ben Dean. The company began beta trials of it's smart email add-on product in March 2009. The company raised a $1.5 million seed round in June 2009, led by Venrock. After 9 months of testing and iteration the product evolved into a "right-time" communications service for small workgroups. The company consists of 4 employees headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.
