Session Description

We will discuss research that that reveals why wikis are not more broadly used within an enterprise. Our research discovered two major factors.  First, wiki users are reluctant to share specific information due to the extra cost, the nature of the information, the desire to share only "finished" content, and sensitivities to the openness of the sharing environment. Second, knowledge workers often rely on non-wiki tools to share information. Come to this session to hear how an enterprise may more fully reap the benefits of wiki technology.
